Halloween 2026 Celebrations In Calgary

Calgary has a packed Halloween season in 2026, with horror conventions, costume events, live shows and themed performances running throughout October. The city’s calendar works for different kinds of plans, whether you want to meet horror film actors, watch improv comedy, dress up for a themed brunch or spend Halloween night at a large live event. Calgary Horror Con kicks things off early in the month, while the final week of October brings several costume-led events across downtown. With both daytime and evening options, there is plenty happening before Halloween night itself.

Fun Things To Do In Calgary On Halloween 2026

Halloween in Calgary is not just about haunted houses. Horror fans can spend a weekend at Calgary Horror Con, comedy fans can catch a special All Hallow’s Eve improv show, and costume lovers have several themed events to choose from. There is also an October edition of Drag Brunch Season inspired by Mean Girls. Some Halloween-night events are age-restricted, so checking the event requirements before making plans is important.

1) CALGARY HORROR CON XIV | The Genesis Centre

Horror fans get an entire weekend to explore films, collectibles and familiar faces from the genre. Happening on October 3 and 4, 2026 at The Genesis Centre, CALGARY HORROR CON XIV brings together celebrity guests, horror-themed vendors, panels, makeup demonstrations and an international film festival. Guests announced for the convention include cast members connected to The Monster Squad, Cabin Fever, Halloween: Resurrection, Friday the 13th Part VI and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre II. With two full days of programming, it is one of Calgary’s biggest events for dedicated horror fans.

2) The Fright Crawl | Calgary's #1 Halloween Bar Crawl 2026 | Commonwealth Bar & Stage

Halloween night gets a large adult-only nightlife event with The Fright Crawl | Calgary's #1 Halloween Bar Crawl 2026, happening on October 31, 2026 from 7:30 PM in central Calgary. The event is restricted to guests aged 18 and over and is organised across multiple participating nightlife venues, with costumes and Halloween music forming the main theme. It is one of several large late-night Halloween events scheduled across downtown Calgary on October 31.

3) Drag Brunch Season | The Canadian Brewhouse, University District

Halloween costumes meet drag performance during the October edition of Drag Brunch Season. Happening on October 3, 2026 at The Canadian Brewhouse in Calgary’s University District, the show is hosted by Jane Hustle and Divina Diefor and takes its theme from Mean Girls Day. Guests are encouraged to bring back favourite Halloween costumes from previous years, while Calgary performer Nada Nuff joins the October show. The series is listed for ages 16+, making this particular date a playful early-October option built around drag, pop culture and costumes.

4) Baron's Circus of Sin - Halloween Party | Bank & Baron P.U.B

A dark circus takes over downtown Calgary on Halloween night. Happening on October 31, 2026 from 7 PM to 11:59 PM, Baron's Circus of Sin - Halloween Party transforms Bank & Baron P.U.B with stilt walkers, a magician, jugglers, tarot readings, a ringmaster, live music, a DJ and other roaming performers. There is also a mirror maze, games and a themed costume atmosphere throughout the venue. With several performances happening across the evening rather than one main stage show, the event is built more like an immersive Halloween circus.

5) The All Hallow’s Eve Show | Loose Moose Theatre Company

Halloween gets silly at Loose Moose Theatre Company with The All Hallow’s Eve Show. The October production brings together improvisation, sketch comedy and Halloween-themed spectacle, with goofy ghouls and strange characters taking over the stage. The show connected to this listing is scheduled for October 23, 2026, with other All Hallow’s Eve performances also appearing later in the month. Expect playful horror rather than a traditional haunted attraction, with simulated gore and cartoon-style violence forming part of the comedy. The production is recommended for audiences aged 16 and older.
