Anlässlich des Jubiläums lädt JUR Records zu einer besonderen Birthday Session ein.
Am 26. Juni ist niemand Geringerer als PHOTEK zu Gast – eine der prägendsten Figuren von Drum and Bass und Jungle.
Rupert Parkes aka Photek war von Anfang an Teil der Szene und formte mit seinem wegweisenden Album Modus Operandi (1997) und dem Klassiker „Ni-Ten-Ichi-Ryu“ einen unverwechselbaren Sound: atmosphärisch, kühl, hochkomplex und zeitlos. Auch Alben wie Form & Function, Releases unter Pseudonymen (Special Forces, Studio Pressure) sowie Remixe für Björk, Everything But The Girl und Nine Inch Nails geniessen absoluten Kultstatus.
Neben zahlreichen Film-Soundtracks erschien 2012 sein gefeiertes DJ-Kicks-Album. 2025 folgt sein neues Drum and Bass-Album, u.a. mit dem Track Breath Control.
