Flo Stoffner ist unverwechselbar und einzigartig in seiner Art, Gitarre zu spielen. Eine Dekonstruktion des Gitarrenspiels, die als „eine Art Autopsie des Gitarrensounds“ bezeichnet wurde. Solo oder in Zusammenarbeit mit Musikern wie Paul Lovens, Rudi Mahall, John Butcher, Chris Corsano, Albert Cirera, Vasco Trilla oder Hans Koch, aber auch der Spoken-Word-Künstlerin Anna Frey, ist er zu einer der herausragenden Figuren der europäischen Improvisationsszene geworden. Ebenso vorausschauend wie rückwärtsgewandt hält er die Fahne des Instant Composing hoch und beweist immer wieder, wie lebendig, überraschend und aktuell die Tradition der freien Improvisation heute ist.

Das sind die tanzenden Körper in aufgeregter Ekstase: Vorspiel zur Trance, Anrufung der Götter, Weihe der Unbeständigkeit. Hier funkelt unser Blickwinkel unter dem Bann und der Trance der versammelten, gefallenen, nachgebenden, regnerischen Dinge, des mesoamerikanischen Windes, des Atems der Göttin, der Brise aus Stöcken, der perkussiven Hölzer. Die hypnotische Collage „Tierra en Trance“ des nie genug gelobten mexikanischen «Colectivo Los Ingrávidos» lotet sensorische Grenzen aus und verknüpft Rituale, sozialen Kampf und Erinnerung miteinander.

Vertont wird der rasant geschnittene Experimentalfilm von der schweizerisch-mexikanischen elektroakustischen Komponistin und Live-Elektronikerin Jamira Estrada. Ihr Debütalbum „HUM“ (2024, czarnagora) dreht sich um Drone, Noise und elektroakustische Musik und schafft eine komplexe und intime Erzählung, in der die Körperlichkeit des Instruments greifbar wird und ätherische Stimmen in einer rohen, taktilen Präsenz verankert werden.
