Join Andy & Amy for a course preview/training run for the 2026 LH100. You do not have to be registered for the race to participate in the course preview/training run.
This is a free event, but there is a $3 per person or $4 per vehicle fee to enter Colt Creek State Park.
The training run will start at the Middle Lake Day Use pavilion. NOTE: This is NOT the S/F for the race - it is Parking Area A. The first wave of runners will start at 8:30 am sharp. You may start anytime, but 8:30 will be the official kick-off of the preview run. There are bathrooms at the day use area and ample parking here.
Directions to start:
Once you go through the guard's gate, take the first right (just a few feet past the gate) and go past the small parking lot and down the shell road to the Middle Lake Day Use Area.
On Course Hydration:
There will be water available at the run start, in the group camp (AS 1 during the race), and at the hard right turn around miles 12 and 15.5. (On the way to and from AS2 during the race.) All of these stops will be unstaffed stations, with water only. Do you need food and electrolytes? Bring them! Plan to leave your drop bags/coolers in your vehicle. Since the park is open to the public, you will probably want to keep everything secure.
We have the group campground reserved on Friday & Saturday nights for anyone interested in camping the night before or after the run. Reminder: this is a primitive campground with no water or electricity, and is tent camping only.
