- **Event Description**: We are delighted to announce a concert performance of George Frideric Handel’s rarely performed opera "Siroe, re di Persia" for 7 March 2026 at the Bel Etage of the Opera & Theatre Madlenianum, which will be presented by the participants of the 25th Belgrade Baroque Academy, together with the ensemble New Trinity Baroque, and directed from the harpsichord by Predrag Gosta.

Handel’s "Siroe" is a masterpiece of emotional intensity and vocal brilliance – a drama of loyalty, love, political intrigue and sacrifice set at the Persian court. In this concert version, the opera’s rich musical architecture comes to the forefront, allowing the expressive power of Handel’s arias and ensembles to shine with clarity and immediacy.

Belgrade Baroque Academy continues its mission of bringing together outstanding young singers and instrumentalists from across Europe and beyond, working in close collaboration with distinguished faculty and professional baroque musicians.
