Woodsmen Scholarship Fund
2nd Annual 3 Catfish Tournament
Every year, talented students in our community are forced to put their dreams on hold due to the rising costs of education. At the Woodsmen Scholarship Fund, we believe that financial barriers should never stand in the way of ambition.
Our fund was established last year in loving memory of Richard "Man" Babb and David Howard. Both were avid hunters and fishermen who were incredibly dear to our hearts. To honor their legacy, we are dedicated to helping local students pursue their goals at trade schools or colleges.
* Date: April 24th-26th
* Location: Cassels. Boykin Park
* Purpose: To raise funds to provide scholarships for two deserving students this year.
Scholarship Criteria
We select recipients who embody the spirit of those we lost. Our scholars must:
* Maintain a 3.00 GPA.
* Have an active interest in hunting or fishing.
* Demonstrate a commitment to helping their fellow man or neighbor.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We are looking for community partners to help us make this year’s tournament a success.
$200 OR more Tournament Sponsor - Your business name on the event banner AND the back of the tournament shirts.
$100 Tournament Sponsor - Your business name on the back of our tournament shirts.
We also need items to be used in the
live auction, raffle, or door prizes to raise additional funds.
