- **Event Description**: We are holding a microchipping event to benefit one of our volunteers, Laurie Smith. She has been a loving volunteer of the Adoption Center since 2018. She is also the owner of Baxter’s Barnyard, a dog boarding and daycare business. Since July 4th, she has been admitted to OSU and is on artificial ventilation due to acquiring Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome from battling pneumonia. Her family has been by her side offering her words of encourage to continue to fight this pneumonia. They are missing work and her business has temporarily closed due to her hospitalization. 
We are offering to microchip your dog or cat for $20 on this day only. Usual cost is $25. The money made from this event will go to the family to assist eith financial needs during this time.
This even is sponsored by Gone To The Dogs! One area boarding facility helping another ❤️ Gone To The Dogs will also be on site for nail trims for those dogs in need. Cost will be a donation to the fundraiser. We will have a total of 100 microchips available that day. All dogs MUST be o  a leash, all cats must be in a cat carrier. There will be a large summer themed Yeti cooler stuffed with summer goodies! You won’t want to miss this!
