- **Event Description**: Legendary entertainer Git Shorty and his show band return to the Zanesville American Legion for a free and open to the public pre-Christmas show. 

Git Shorty is an Ohio native who earned his stripes playing with “The Godfather of Soul,” James Brown in the 1960s, before going on to play with some of the most talented musicians of our lifetimes, including Glenn Campbell and Roy Clark to Michael Jackson and Van Halen. 

The 85-year-old national recording artist still plays with the energy and exuberance of a teenager. More than anything, Git Shorty is a showman! He engages the audience for a show that’s exciting, fun, memorable and unlike anything you have had before. 

In his 69th year of touring, Shorty has not slowed down. He is performing with an outstanding band, complete with a horn section that ensures a dynamic show unlike anything you have ever seen!
