The seventh annual Andy Jam offers music by legendary entertainer Git Shorty, Columbus-based country and southern rock band Southern Alibi, Brandon Middleton's Sharwahl, and area classic rock band Donnelly/Quinn.
The event generates money for the Andy Quinn Memorial Fund, which pays for scholarships at the Zane State College Peace Officer Academy in Zanesville, OH.
The inspiration is Andy Quinn (RIP), an aspiring law officer who died of a viral infection at age 31 in 2019. Andy is son of Paul Quinn, and Cathy Sterling Nelson, both of Zanesville, and brother to Joey Quinn of Zanesville.
The Andy Quinn Memorial Fund is a program of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Six County. NAMI Six County serves Muskingum and surrounding counties and is the fiscal agent for the memorial fund. NAMI Six County is a 501c3 charitable organization that advocates for the mentally ill and drug-addicted.
Since 2019, The Andy Jam has been held the third Saturday in May and features live music throughout the afternoon and evening, and prize drawings. The 2026 Andy Jam is Saturday, May 16.
Any contributions should be to NAMI Six County, c/o Mental Health & Recovery Services Board, 1500 Coal Run Rd, Zanesville, OH 43701. NOTE "Andy Quinn Memorial Fund."
