Australski jazz trio The Necks, jedan od najposebnijih bendova na svijetu, ponovno se nakon nezaboravnog prošlogodišnjeg koncerta vraća u Močvaru.
Osnovani 1987. godine u Sydneyu, pijanist Chris Abrahams, kontrabasist Lloyd Swanton i bubnjar Tony Buck već desetljećima ruše žanrovske okvire, a njihovi su koncerti jedinstveno hipnotičko iskustvo – svaka izvedba nastaje u trenutku, bez unaprijed zadanog plana, s dugim i strpljivo građenim strukturama koje završavaju u eksplozivnim krešendima.
Jedna pjesma za jedan album, jedna pjesma za jedan koncert. Sada i nikada više. The Necks su svoj koncept jednosatnih improvizacija mijenjali onako kako se mijenja i tehnologija u glazbenoj industriji – sada, umjesto jedne pjesme na CD izdanju, na dvostrukim vinilnim albumima nude i do 4 pjesme, no suština njihovog improvizatorskog kreda ostala je nepromijenjena. Nikada ne zapadajući u zamku vlastitih pravila, s recentnim, dvadesetim po redu albumom “Disquiet”, vratili su se na CD format - ovaj put trostruki, donoseći preko tri sata minimalističke improvizacije, pulsirajućih ritmova i meditativnih repeticija.
The Necks u Zagreb dolaze već deseti put i malo je onih koji do sada nisu doživjeli jedinstveno iskustvo svjedočenja najposebnijih improviziranih glazbenih komada. Ako ih tek otkrivate, zaustavite vrijeme, zatvorite oči i uživajte.
