Dry needling (tehnika ''suhih igala'') ili DN je stručna intervencija koja koristi tanku filiformnu iglu koja prodire u kožu i stimulira potkožne miofascijalne trigger točke, mišićna i vezivna tkiva za olakšavanje neuromuskularnih bolova i ispravljanje krivih obrazaca kretanja.

Day I
1. About DN;
2. Can we call it Acupuncture?
3. Munich Consensus Statement – muscle dysfunction, injury?
4. How does it work?
5. What's the aim of treatment;
6. Should it be the only treatment? What works well with DN;
7. Source and cause of pain;
8. Proper dose. Progression of forces;
9. Superficial Dry Needling (SDN) vs. Deep Dry Needling (DDN). Needle manipulations;
10. Needle types and needle choices;
11. Clean and safe needling techniques. PEP Protocol;
12. No go areas, contraindications;
13. Complications;
14. Written Consent form;
15. Needle handling: proper tap and safe way to use it; How to release a stucked needle;
1. Pelvis area palpation anatomy;
1.1 muscle palpation, flat and pincer grip palpation;
1.2 SDN vs. DDN;
1.3 Needle manipulation;
1.4 Gluts: medius and minimus
1.5 TFL
2. Lumbar spine palpation anatomy

Day II
1. Upper quadrant palpation anatomy. No go areas;

1.3 Rhomboids
1.4 Thoracic spine
1.5 Rotator cuff: supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, subscapularis – posterior approach
1.6 Teres major/lats
1.7 Pectoralis major
2. Upper limb: arm palpation anatomy. No go areas;
2.1 Deltoid
2.2 Triceps
2.3 Biceps
2.4 Brachialis

1. Upper limb: forearm palpation anatomy. No go areas;
1.1 Brachioradialis
1.2 Wrist extensors
1.3 Wrist flexors
2. Lower limb palpation anatomy: thigh. No go areas;
2.1 Quad
2.2 Hamstrings
2.3 Adductors
3. Lower leg palpation anatomy; No go areas:
3.1 Gastroc and soleus
3.2 Anterior compartment: tibialis anterior, extensor digitorum and hallucis longus
3.3 Lateral compartment: peroneal muscles

About the instructor:
Milosz Parchimowicz MSc PT, OMPT –
Graduated with honour roll from Alleman Catholic High School in Rock Island, Illinois. A graduate of physiotherapy at the Academy of Physical Education in Poznan, including one semester of Erasmus program in Coimbra, Portugal. Certified in Kaltenborn-Evjenth Manual Therapy and MDT McKenzie. Has completed 4 years (over 1000 hours) of Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy program under IFOMPT standards:

Runs his own practice in Szczecin - Reha-Team. Since 2014 works as lecturer at the Pomeranian Medical University where he teaches: palpation anatomy, diagnostics and manual therapy. Has worked with polish best pole vaulter - Piotr Lisek, European Indoor Champion and silver medal at the 2017 World Championship. Completed Medical Acupuncture course in London and for over year worked as translator and assistant of Craig Smith from Republic of South Africa on Dry Needling courses in Poland. Assisted in teaching over 300 physios. After that became teacher himself and by now has taught on over 40 dry needling courses with over 500 physios and MD's trained.
