Četrnaesto izdanje festivala CirkoBalkana u Zagrebu ponovno transformira dvorište Pogona Jedinstvo i njegovu okolicu u dinamičnu pozornicu suvremenog cirkusa. U njegovu središtu nalazi se prepoznatljivi crveni cirkuski šator – prostor susreta u kojem se umjetnici i publika okupljaju u zajedničkom istraživanju suvremenih izvedbenih praksi.

Ovogodišnje izdanje stavlja u fokus temu generacija, istražujući susret mladih, nadolazećih cirkuskih umjetnika s iskusnim izvođačima čije dugogodišnje karijere utjelovljuju trajnost i kontinuitet cirkuske umjetnosti. Kroz ovaj međugeneracijski dijalog festival promišlja cirkusko tijelo u njegovoj punoj snazi, ali i u procesu starenja, razmatrajući kako se tehnika, kreativni procesi, izvedbeni prostori i umjetnički izrazi mijenjaju kroz vrijeme.

Program okuplja radove autora i izvođača različitih generacija – od umjetnika u ranim dvadesetima do onih starijih od pedeset godina, kao i međugeneracijske suradnje – nudeći slojevitu perspektivu kontinuiteta, transformacije i utjelovljenog znanja unutar suvremenog cirkusa.

Izdanje 2026. godine donosi izvedbe istaknutih regionalnih i međunarodnih umjetnika i kolektiva, uključujući CIRKUSFERU (RS), ROOM 100 (HR), T.O.A (HR), Palestinian Circus, Mismo Nismo (SLO), Los Galindos (ESP), My! Laika (FR), Un Loup Pour L’Homme (FR) i Intrepidus (FR), kao i novu generaciju hrvatskih umjetnica i umjetnika koji se obrazuju u inozemstvu te će se predstaviti kroz kratke izvedbene formate.

Uz izvedbeni program, festival uključuje i nezaobilazan popratni program glazbe, izložbi, radionica i tribina.

Festival se realizira u suradnji sa Zagrebačkim centrom za nezavisnu kulturu i mlade Pogon, i kolektivom ROOM 100. Ne smijemo zaboraviti naše divne donatore hrane za festivalsku kuhinju koja hrani umjetnike i tim: Vedrini, Annapurna, Biomara, Pekinška patka, OP OP OP OP.

The fourteenth edition of the CirkoBalkana Festival once again transforms the courtyard of Pogon Jedinstvo and its surrounding area into a vibrant stage for contemporary circus. At its centre stands the festival’s emblematic red circus tent, a space of encounter where artists and audiences gather in a shared exploration of contemporary performance practices.

This year’s edition foregrounds the theme of generations, examining the encounter between emerging young circus artists and seasoned practitioners whose long-standing careers embody the craft's durability. Through this intergenerational dialogue, the festival reflects on the circus body at its peak and in its process of ageing, considering how technique, creative processes, performance spaces, and artistic expression evolve over time.

The programme brings together works created and performed by artists in different stages of life—those in their early twenties, those over fifty, as well as intergenerational collaborations—offering a nuanced perspective on continuity, transformation, and embodied knowledge within contemporary circus.

The 2026 edition features performances by leading regional and international companies, including CIRKUSFERA (RS), ROOM 100 (HR), T.O.A (HR), Palestinian Circus, Los Galindos (ESP), Mismo Nismo (SLO), My! Laika (FR), Un Loup Pour l’Homme (FR), and Intrepidus Squad (FR), alongside a new generation of Croatian artists currently training abroad, will present their work in short performance formats.

Alongside the performance programme, the festival also features an essential accompanying programme of music, exhibitions, workshops, and talks.
