- **Event Description**: Winter Solstice represents balance, darkness and giving birth to future light. For centuries humanity has observed Winter Solstice as a powerful opportunity to cast new intentions (manifesting the return of light) while also letting go (releasing the old year's darkness). 

Thursday Meditation on December 18 will be transformed into a magical and transformational experience under the winter sky - in our center’s parking lot. Musician and sound healer Chey Soul is creating a spiritual experience for us, weaving meditation, chanting, rituals and a ceremonial bonfire with the creation of a special Solstice altar.

“We will place items on the altar representing new intentions, such as bright candles or crystals,” Chey explains, “and for releasing the past we will be burning our written worries on paper. We will be honoring the cycle of death and rebirth - and ultimately welcoming the returning sun.”

Chey plans to sing that night and play her guitar or ukulele, while a friend shares her music with a flute and through singing bowls.
Comfortable seating will be provided outside, but please consider bringing a warm coat for any cool breezes that evening. 

Also feel free to bring any item you would like to place upon the altar.

Our event will begin at 6:30 PM with all spiritual seekers warmly welcomed.
