🌱 Fun Facts about Marimo Moss Balls
They aren’t moss at all — they’re a unique form of algae that naturally grow into velvety green spheres.
Marimo means “seaweed ball” in Japanese, where they’re considered symbols of love, luck, and longevity.
They’re super slow growers — about 5mm per year — and can live over 100 years with care!
In Japan, couples sometimes gift them to represent everlasting love. 💚
💧 Caring for Your Marimo Moss Ball
Change the water every 1–2 weeks with fresh, dechlorinated tap water.
Give them a gentle roll now and then so they keep their round shape.
If your Marimo floats, don’t worry — it’s just air bubbles! Gently squeeze it to release.
Keep them in indirect light (too much sun can overheat or cause algae issues).
Best temperature: cool water, 68–77°F (20–25°C).
🎨 No experience needed — just bring your creativity and sense of fun. This quirky, hands-on workshop is perfect for adults, families, or anyone who loves unique home décor.
