Dear all,
Lenore and Seda warmly invite you to a very special Argentine tango milonga dedicated to raising funds for Type 1 Diabetes research. All proceeds—from both the class and the milonga—will be donated directly to support research for this genetic condition.
This cause is deeply personal to both of us. Lenore has a family history of Type 1 diabetes, and Seda has devoted her professional life to the clinical care and research of this condition as a medical specialist in diabetes and endocrinology. Bringing tango and community together in support of this cause feels especially meaningful.
We are deeply grateful to Charlie for generously offering her studio space, to Samir el Hindu for DJing the milonga, and to Randy Fisher for teaching our pre-milonga class.
The afternoon begins with a beginner-friendly tango class taught by Randy at 2:00 PM, open to everyone—no partner required. Please invite your friends and help us introduce tango to new dancers while supporting diabetes research.
The milonga (open social dance) follows from 3:00–6:00 PM, with music by DJ Samir el Hindu.
Price: $20
Volunteers: If you’d like to help with setup, cleanup, or the door, please reach out to Lenore or me. Volunteers receive free entry.
We hope you’ll join us for an afternoon of dance, community, and purpose.
