Please be prepared to stay for the entire 30 minutes. Walk-ins will be seen but those with an audition time will be seen first.
Please bring all known conflicts to the audition as well as a headshot/resume if you have one.
Performance dates are Feb 28-March 1 and March 6-8 at The Back Office Studio. Friday/Saturday at 8pm; Sundays at 2pm. Actors are called 1-hour before curtain.
Rehearsals begin Sunday, January 18. Rehearsals are Tues/Wed/Thurs evenings from 7-10pm and Sunday afternoons from 1-4pm. All rehearsals are in Ypsilanti.
Tech week is February 22-26. You must be available for all of tech week.
Actors will receive a $100 stipend.
All races and ethnicities are encouraged to audition. Actors 18 and up that can play various age ranges
SHOW SYNOPSIS:
Adam and Raine are gearing up for the next stage of their relationship. All plans are derailed when Adam suffers a family tragedy, causing to revert back to the only coping mechanism that worked as a kid: talking to his imaginary friends. As he navigates his inner turmoil, it’s clear that there isn’t room for everyone, and is forced to make a choice on who is really there for him; the love of his life or his imaginary friends.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS:
Adam Boyce* – Mid-late 20s, the nicest guy in the room, very anxious, loves Raine. Male.
Raine Manchester* – Mid-late 20s, the kindest person you could meet, loves Adam. Female.
Past Adam - Adam’s past self that lives out his memories. Male.
Neil – Late 20s, charismatic yet manipulative. Male.
Sammy – Mid-20s, Flirtatious and witty. Female
Linn – Early 20s, jokester and a stoner. Any gender.
Paula Boyce – 50s-60s, Adam’s mom. Her presence brings warmth to the room. Female.
Thomas Boyce – 50s-60s, Adam’s dad. Very wise. Male.
