YSU Jazz Combos Concert

On Thursday, February 26, 2026, the Dana School of Music will present Jazz Combosled by Dr. Dave Kana, Dr. Kent Engelhardt, and Dr. Glenn Schaft!

Kana’s Sextet will perform “Blue Skies” by Irving Berlin, “Time After Time” by Jule Styne & Sammy Cahn, and “Equinox” by John Coltrane. Engelhardt’s quintet will perform “Bags Groove” by Milt Jackson, “Django” by John Lewis, and “Soul Sauce (Guachi Guaro)” by Dizzy Gillespie and Chano Pozo. Schaft’s quartet will perform “One, Two, Three” by Glenn Schaft, “It Never Entered My Mind” by Richard Rogers & Lorenz Hart, and “Impressions” by John Coltrane.

Join us inside Spotlight Theater and enjoy groovy tunes, exciting rhythms, and memorable melodies from our music students. The concert begins at 7:30, and entry is free and open to the public.
