- **Event Description**: The Cowra Musical and Dramatic Society are presenting to great radio plays in one day on Sunday November 16 in the Club Cowra Auditorium. The first show is Blondie, a radio situation comedy adapted from the long-running Blondie comic strip by Chic Young. The radio program ran on several networks from 1939 to 1950. It starred Arthur Lake as Dagwood Bumstead and, for the majority of its run, Penny Singleton as Blondie Bumstead. This something new from the M&D and the roles will be played by Ros Ryan (Blondie) and Richard Neate (Dagwood) other roles will be played by Lyndall Ryan (Lulu) Brayden Curtis (Jack)  Mona Cooper  (Announcer). The second show for the day will be another hilarious episode from the Easy Aces series titled “Jane Takes Up Astrology”. Proven to be very popular with the local audiences the Cowra M&D always do the script justice with the roles of Jane and Ace being played once again by Sheryl Ann Pulling and Lawrance Ryan.  A married couple, James and Pamela Brent, are hosting a dinner party when James receives a phone call from his supposedly deceased wife, Fay. The ghost insists they meet her at the location of her death, where they uncover a disturbing secret. A very funny episode with other roles being played by Richard Neate (Mr. Norris) Ros Ryan (Mrs. Norris) Lyndall Ryan (Madam Bush) Braydon Curtis (Police Officer) Mona Cooper (Announcer) and Lily Clark (Foley Artist).
