Yorktown families are invited to join Purdue Department of Entomology  for a unique evening program exploring the fascinating world of nocturnal insects.

The evening will begin with a talk from Purdue entomologists about insect diversity and the role insects play in the natural world. Then, participants will head outside to a blacklight station and watch as insects fly in from the darkness.

This is a great chance for kids, families, nature lovers, and curious community members to experience Morrow’s Meadow in a whole new way.

Please bring bug spray, a flashlight or headlamp, and weather-appropriate clothing.

Anyone needing accommodations to attend this program should contact Emily Justus at ejustus@purdue.edu at least one week prior to the event.
