We will tell stories, share perspectives, perhaps disagree, and then look together at ways forward and at work being done to create the most desired outcome: peace and security for all.Rabbi ElishevaWith a background in biology and experience within the Jewish community as a teacher, programme developer, and spiritual counsellor, she is excited to work with members of the community to create meaningful ritual, restorative prayer services, hands-on education opportunities, and far-reaching Tikkun Olam (repair of the world – social action).Born in California, she held posts at congregations in the United States, South Africa and Switzerland before coming to York.Imam AmmarAmmar studied English Language and Linguistics in York whilst spending 10 years studying and practising to become an Imam at the institute where he grew up. This journey involved memorising the Qur’an, writing theses, and conducting extensive research in Islamic and other fields.
