Visit our stands to find out about our services and ways to get involved.1.30pm Parallel wellbeing sessionsEveryone is invited to choose between attending a wellbeing session for people with lymphoma, or, a wellbeing session for family, friends and carers:Wellbeing (for people with lymphoma)Living with lymphoma can bring a range of physical and emotional challenges, due to symptoms and side effects from treatment. This session focuses on physical and emotional wellbeing for people with lymphoma, including self-management and lifestyle guidance for managing symptoms, side effects and psychological wellbeing to help you feel more in control and improve your quality of life alongside lymphoma.Looking after your wellbeing (for family, friends and carers)Supporting someone with lymphoma can be rewarding, but it can also bring practical and emotional challenges. This dedicated session provides a space for family members, friends and carers to focus on their own wellbeing. Designed to be interactive, we’ll invite you to share your experiences with others, including any sources of information and support, and suggestions for ways to focus on your wellbeing alongside caring for your person with lymphoma.2.15pm Afternoon refreshmentsAn opportunity to meet, share and connect with others. Tea, coffee and chefs choice of treats will be available in the Oak Room.2.30pm Keeping safe on holidayMany people with lymphoma have questions about travelling safely – whether planning a break before treatment, returning to holidays after treatment, or navigating issues like infection risk, GHICs and declaring lymphoma for travel insurance. This session covers how to plan for safe holidays: what to look out for when booking a trip and deciding where to go, managing Medic*tion and carrying details of your condition, sun safety, arranging insurance and reducing the risk of infection (such as food and drink hygiene, protection from insects, vaccinations). Speaker to be confirmed.2.55pm Money, work and benefits after a lymphoma diagnosisMoney and ﬁnancial issues is such an important topic for many people with lymphoma. Whether it is about beneﬁts and entitlements, the implication of having to take time off from working for treatment, or longer-term impact on personal ﬁnances, it is a topic that can be difﬁcult to navigate. Conference tickets are £30 per person.Late bookings and cateringWe’re keen to welcome as many supporters as possible to York to celebrate our 40th anniversary year. We are pleased to offer online booking right up until the day of the conference, as well as walk‑in bookings at our registration desk on the day.Online bookings made after 9am on Friday 24 April will be considered late bookings. To remain in line with the food health and safety policies at The Milner, our catering order - including all dietary requirements and food allergies - will be submitted to the venue catering team two weeks in advance, on Friday 24 April.Bookings will remain open after this date, however, we won’t be able to accommodate any new food allergies or dietary requirements submitted after 9am on Friday 24 April, as the catering order will already have been finalised, and the venue team will have ordered our food.Lunch will be provided as an individually packed meal, including a sandwich, a savoury item, crisps, fruit, a sweet treat and bottled water. For late bookings, lunch will be offered from the sandwiches available on the day, selected by the chef.If you have a food allergy or dietary requirement that would usually mean you’re unable to eat a sandwich, we kindly ask that you bring or purchase your own lunch if booking after Friday 24 April, as the venue unfortunately isn’t able to safely accommodate new allergies at short notice.We’re really pleased to be able to stay open for late bookings and thank you for your understanding.
