Firstly, and most importantly, there’s always lots of refreshments, sandwiches and cake provided!Each Conversation Café will have different topics to cover, with the questions sent a week or two before the event so there’s plenty of time to prepare answers and not feel like you have been put on the spot.It’s a relaxed, non-judgemental space, which allows for people with lived experience and people who run services to come together and have a chat. Everyone in these sessions will have an equal chance to share their view, as everyone’s view is equally important. If, however, you don't feel comfortable in sharing your view, that is all good too.ExpensesExpenses for the day will be covered (i.e. travel/parking/childcare) and there will be forms on the day which you can fill out to cover these.ParkingThere is parking directly across the road from 30 Clarence Street at Union Terrace Car Park (Clarence St, York YO31 7ES)What should I wear/bring?Please wear whatever you feel comfortable in - this is not a formal event, and we want you to feel at ease.
