Join Us for a Youth Beekeeping Workshop!

Ready to learn the basics of beekeeping and discover why bees are so important to agriculture and our environment? Join us for a fun, hands-on Beekeeping Workshop where youth will explore the fascinating world inside the hive and learn how bees support our food system every day. Ever wondered how honey is made or what it takes to be a beekeeper? Come find out—this workshop is sure to bee sweet!

Workshop Highlights include:

• Learning why bees are essential to agriculture and crop pollination
• Discovering how honey is made—from flower to hive to jar
• Exploring real beekeeping tools and understanding how they’re used
• Learning how bees work together inside the hive and the roles of the queen, workers, and drones
• Understanding the connection between bees, plants, and food production
• Plenty of time to ask all your buzzing questions

Membership requirement: Current 4-H membership is not required for participation in this event, but you must preregister.

Custodial Care: Please note that this event and its coordinators do not assume custodial care of youth in attendance. Adults (parents, guardians, volunteers, coaches, or chaperones) must be present for the supervision of youth participants.
