Enjoy our annual holiday decorations in Glenview, our 1877 home on the National Register of Historic Places, designed by esteemed architect Charles W. Clinton. Explore the six fully restored period rooms on a 45-minute guided tour, showcasing beautiful Christmas trees, antique ornaments and toys, and a holiday-themed tablescape.
Learn about the Gilded Age holiday traditions of the Trevor family, and see the fine woodwork, furnishings, artwork, and magnificent architectural features that rank Glenview as one of the most important early Gilded Age residences open to the public.
This year, the Ebony Library will showcase the Museum’s greeting card collection with reproductions and historic examples, including many by Louis Prang, who produced the first ever commercial Christmas cards in America in 1875.
Glenview appears in the Emmy Award–winning series The Gilded Age (HBO) and Severance (Apple TV).
Tours are limited to 15 guests. Advance ticket purchase is encouraged. Recommended for ages 8+. Strollers are not permitted in Glenview.
*Please note the following changes to the tour schedule:
- On Sunday, December 7, tours will be offered at 12 & 1pm instead of 1 & 3pm.
- Tours will not be offered on Thursday, December 25 or Thursday, January 1.
- Additional tours will be offered at 1 & 3pm on Friday, December 26, Monday, December 29, Tuesday, December 30, Wednesday, December 31, and Friday, January 2.
