For our final Foco Nuevo of 2025 we're pleased to welcome the wonderful Rebecca Wright as our guest performer. Our previously announced guests, The Australian Voices had to cancel unexpectedly, but we will reschedule again next year. It's great to have Rebecca back, it has been long overdue! Come and join us for a great night of live music under the stars in our intimate backyard concert.
Don't miss out on Foco Nuevo! Remember seating is limited; booking is essential.
Savouries, cakes, tea, and coffee will be available. Please feel free to BYO if you wish. We would appreciate if you could leave your pets at home.
Rebecca Wright
Since bursting on to the Brisbane folk scene over twenty-five years ago as a solo singer-songwriter at the age of sixteen, Rebecca has gone on to tour overseas as a cellosinger, release various albums with a variety of bands, marry a bonny Scotsman, and become a mum. After spending the past decade performing mostly with others, she is currently enjoying her occasional return to the stage as a solo artist; sharing meaningful songs for the love of it.
Jumping Fences
Jumping Fences’ songs traverse working lives, migration and exile, and everyday hopes and joys. Their long association with Latin American music resonates deeply in their own compositions. They toured to Cuba in 2017 and 2018, and nationally they have performed at numerous festivals and venues in South-East Queensland and Victoria. They have composed songs for choirs and conducted workplace songwriting and performance projects in association with the Qld Council of Unions. In 2025, Jumping Fences have released two singles ‘Woolloongabba’ and most recently ‘Tiempo y Silencio’. You can listen to a selection of their songs on Spotify, YouTube or Apple Music.
