Releasing Floreana

Floreana is ready for release! Will you come and join us at Farnborough Beach?

Floreana came into care with us on the 12th of July 2025. Her bloodwork showed an infection and anaemia. She was so underweight that her heart beat was visible through her plastron! It took her a long time to respond to treatment and build strength and muscle. After an extended time in ICU she has been getting lots of swimming hours in our main rehab pool. Floreana is now ready to swim free in the ocean.

When: Saturday 29 November 2025 at 2:00pm.

Where: Farnborough Beach, at the beach access near the toilet blocks at Yeppoon Rotary Park (FB3, just south of Beachside Holiday Caravan Park).
