Join Cheryl Minkoff for a full-body experience through the practices of yoga, breath work, meditation, facial & foot self-massage, journaling, and guided relaxation in this six-week Tuesday evening series.
Below is a general outline of what you can expect in each of these one-hour sessions.
*Learn individualized body movement, acquiring unique-to-you tweaks to come into the full expression of some of yoga's best-loved poses.
*Practice basic techniques of breath work that will allow you to become better familiarized with the benefits of effective breathing. Examples include alternate nostril breathing and the "Victory Breath".
*Build familiarity with the practice of classic Sun Salutations, learning tips to ease your body through the flow of this 12-pose sequence. From there, participants will build their foundational practice to include additional postures.
*Participants will receive a journal with registration. These will be used for a Pre-Yoga Check-in and a Post-Yoga Check-up each session to give you a solid sense of your experience and development over the course of this six-week session.
*Self-care through facial and foot massage will be introduced midway through this series. These techniques, when practiced regularly, will allow you to heighten your awareness of where you hold your unconscious tension.
Treat yourself just right in the New Year! All bodies and levels of experience are welcome. This series is well-suited to beginners as well as well-versed yoga folks.
