(There is no class on 4/23 and 5/7.)This course is a full overview of bezel settings, starting with simple bezels and progressing up to custom setting unusual shapes. The first half of the series is project based. We will be making a pair of earrings, a ring, and a pendant. The second half of the series will be a self-designed project with instructor support. For the final project, a selection of stones will be available but students are also welcome to bring in small stones or objects from home. This is a beginner class, no prior metalsmithing experience is needed!Fee does not include materials. The estimated materials fee is $40* and includes everything needed to complete the course, including your choice of stones. The materials kit can be purchased directly from the instructor with Venmo or cash at the first class.*NOTE: Due to daily increases in the cost of metal, the cost of materials is subject to change.Non-members: $250 for 6 weeks.
