We will work with cut flowers and learn how to draw and compose our pieces. Then we will explore how different watercolor techniques, such as color mixing, wet on wet, wet on dry, glazing and detail work, can be used to bring them to life. Beginners welcome!$125 workshop fee does not include materials. There is a materials fee of $15, payable to the instructor by Venmo or cash on the day of the workshop, or you can bring your own materials. She graduated from Maine College of Art & Design in 2021 with a Masters in Art Education, as well as in 2019 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting and a minor in Art History. She chooses to work in the medium of watercolor as a nod to botanical illustrations, and due to the technical challenge of it, the puzzle involved to create such a complex piece with layers and fine detail.Click to view our cancellation policy.Suggested Materials:Watercolor paper, preferably 140 lb or better, and at least 9”x12”  Pan Watercolor set, preset or cured from tubesTray for mixing watercolors, like a white ceramic or plastic plate, or the tray that came with a pan set.
