Start the year by taking the first step — literally.

Join us on January 1 for the official Mile-A-Day 2026 Kickoff. This is a relaxed, community walk and gathering where participants can log their first mile of the year, pick up their shirts, and hang out afterward.

Schedule
• 3:00 PM – T-shirt pickup begins
• 3:15 PM – Group walks begin (1 mile)
• 3:45–5:00 PM – Social time, photos, and giveaways

Anyone who completes the walk and is signed up for Mile-A-Day will receive a free Kenny Pepper or hot chocolate.

We’ll have:
• A photo booth / backdrop to mark your first mile of 2026
• A goal wall where you can write why you’re committing to Mile-A-Day
• The Contact Center on site with a booth (our local food pantry partner)
• A simple giveaway — one walker will win a Ben’s flannel

This event is casual, inclusive, and family-friendly. If you wish to walk indoors for your first mile, we only have room for those signed up. We will take same day signups. 

Kick off 2026 the right way — one mile at a time.
