🇬🇧 The Institut français de Birmanie invites young creators to embark on a playful cultural journey at our Children’s Workshop on Lacquerware, a hands‑on session designed to spark imagination, teamwork, and curiosity.

In this two‑hour workshop, participants aged 6 to 13 will explore the artistic heritage of Bagan, discover the fascinating world of traditional Burmese lacquerware, and express themselves through drawing, storytelling, and craft‑making. It’s an engaging way for children to learn, create, and collaborate in a lively and supportive environment.

A culture‑rich, creativity‑driven workshop where young participants imagine, explore, and make their own artistic creations inspired by Bagan’s lacquerware traditions.

Activities include:
Children will enjoy a fun icebreaker, explore Bagan through the “Adventure Bag,” navigate a cultural map, design a lacquerware‑inspired cup, race to sequence the steps of lacquerware making, and craft bracelets or necklaces. Along the way, they will gain cultural insight, develop creativity, strengthen teamwork, and build key skills such as sequencing, observation, and fine motor coordination.
