- **Event Description**: All are welcome to join us for our annual Blue Christmas:  A Worship Service for the Longest Night.

This service is offered for those who have difficulty greeting the holiday season with joy, especially those grieving, encountering loss, without stable housing, seeking wellness and wholeness of body, mind, spirit, and social supports.

During the contemplative and reflective service we will meditate, sing softly, hear the Word of God, light candles, offer prayers anoint for healing, also share Holy Communion.

The Rev. William Schwochow (First Lutheran Xenia Pastor) will join with the Rev. Dr. Jean Cotting (Christ Episcopal Xenia Priest) and the Rev. June Fryman (Abiding Christ Lutheran Fairborn Pastor) to officiate.

Mr. James Will, Ph.D. (First Lutheran Xenia Director of Music) will accompany with instrumentation.

A freewill offering will be gathered for the Lutheran Saints in Ministry GriefShare Program provided at the Abiding Christ Fairborn and First Lutheran Xenia churches.
