Deep Stretch Class with a Restoration Focus on Each Major Muscle Group
Who: Anyone needing stress relief, increased mobility, improved energy flow, and mental endurance, seeking deeper relaxation, mental focus, or to balance a fast-paced life.
What: Deep Stretch//Yin Yoga involves holding floor-based yoga poses for three to seven minutes to target deep connective tissues (fascia, ligaments, joints) rather than muscles, promoting flexibility, releasing stored tension/emotions, and improving meditation readiness through passive, relaxed holds that encourage gravity to deepen the stretch, unlike active yoga styles.
No prior yoga experience needed.
Why: To calm your parasympathetic nervous system, reduce stress, improve flexibility, and cultivate mindfulness through long, passive holds on the floor. Deep stretches balance active (yang) practices, release deep-seated tension, boost circulation, and help you learn to sit with discomfort, while fostering self-
awareness.
Investment: $10 per session
Come as you are! No special clothing is needed; dress in loose, comfortable clothing. All equipment will be provided: mats, blocks, bolsters, straps, and blankets, but you are welcome to bring your own if preferred.
