- **Event Description**: Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is a dark musical thriller set in Victorian London about a barber, Sweeney Todd, who returns from exile determined to take revenge on the corrupt judge who ruined his life and separated him from his family. As Todd reestablishes himself in the city, he becomes increasingly consumed by his desire for vengeance. Meanwhile, a young sailor named Anthony Hope falls in love with Johanna Barker, Todd's daughter, who is being kept under the control of the very judge Todd despises. Anthony's efforts to rescue Johanna provide a hopeful counterpoint to Todd's darker path. The musical explores themes of love, revenge, justice, and the tragic consequences of obsession.
