We cordially invite you to Wrocław for the 5th edition of the Dragon Cup, led by Christian Filippi sensei, 7 dan kendo renshi, as a main referee.
5th Dragon Cup ❄️
🤺 International friendly tournament for children, juniors, youth (no limit of degrees) up to 24 years old.
🤺 A unique atmosphere of learning kendo through a sports competition,
🤺 Fantastic prizes, including the Most Valuable Player award,
🤺 Separate tournament for ladies,
🤺 Dan exams 1-3,
🤺 An unforgettable time in the capitol of Lower Silesia, in a Christmas atmosphere 😊
This year the tournament will be Individual only.
However, we want each participant to have more fights than usual.
Firstly, we will strive to have four participants in each qualifying group of each category.
Secondly, we will form a "Second Chance" tournament for those players who take third or fourth place in their qualifying group.
In this additional tournament, we only award the winner, with the Kantosho Prize.
This additional "second chance" tournament does not apply to the technique presentation category.

Technique presentations:
I up to 9 y.o. (presentation of techniques: kirikaeshi and uchikomi, performed on a motodachi in bogu)
II 10-13 y.o. (presentation of techniques: kirikaeshi and uchikomi, performed on a motodachi in bogu)
Shiai sanbon-shobu, individual:
III Children 5-7 y.o.
IV Children 8-9 y.o.
V Children 10-12 y.o..
VI Juniors 13-15 y.o.
VII Juniors 16-18 y.o.
VIII Youth Girls 16-24 y.o.
IX Youth Men 16-24 y.o.
Participants can compete in both the technique presentation and shiai sanbon shobu categories.
We kindly ask that competitors who compete in the technique presentation category, have a maximum of 1.5 years of training experience.

📢 Important information:
Wrocław in December has a unique and beautiful christmas market, which is definitely worth to visit. Therefore, we ask all guests to book hotels and hostels in advance (preferably by the end of August), so that you can find accommodation at a reasonable price.
