Mental Health First Aid (Wales) training can help save lives.Aims:This two-day course aims to improve mental health awareness, and help people in the creative sectors to recognise the signs and symptoms of someone with mental health conditions. Practical information will be provided. Please note the course content has not been tailored to the creative sector, but you will be on the course with other creatives and have an opportunity to work in small groups.Objectives:The course does not train you to be a therapist, counsellor or mental health professional, but it will increase your confidence in working with vulnerable adults.By the end of the session you should be able to:give initial help to someone experiencing a mental health problemdeal with a crisis situation or the first signs of someone developing mental ill healthguide people towards appropriate supportPlease note that this course covers sensitive subjects that may be upsetting for some people.
