We're back with another iconic open mic featuring poets, musicians, comedians and more! This month with incredible headliner Gwerhwyfar Ferch Rhys!

Gwenhwyfar Ferch Rhys

Bio: Gwenhwyfar Ferch Rhys is a writer and spoken word artist from Bangor. 

Growing up in Scotland, she performed as a young Makar at festivals such as Wigtown, StAnza, and Dandelion. Since moving back to Cymru, she has been selected for Literature Wales Speak Back programme, interning with Inclusive Journalism Cymru, and been published in Poetry Wales. Her debut solo spoken word show ‘(ac)quiesonce’ premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe last August.

?Open mic sign-up on the door, no booking needed. As always, Voicebox is for everyone - whether it's your first time on the mic or you just want to come and enjoy the vibe!

Host: Iwan Berry

Iwan Berry is a bilingual poet and longstanding Voiceboxer. 

He has read at open mics and events across north Wales and the borders, including the 2024 Llandudno Arts Festival, the 2025 National Eisteddfod in Wrexham and recently took part in an international project alongside a group of performers from Brazil, led by Dirty Protest Theatre.
