This Deaf Awareness session is funded by Hear Me! - a charity project supporting children/young people with hearing loss across Wrexham and Flintshire.
What will be covered:
o How the ear works and the related deafness, including
emotional impact of losing hearing
o Know how to identify if someone is deaf or deaf/blind
o Learn how to communicate with deaf, deaf/blind people
and the simple rules of communication
o Adapted technologies
(hearing aids and other equipment)
o All stats and training related to needs of user group.
o Understanding the unique challenges faced by deaf,
deaf/blind people in a variety of settings
o How to promote inclusive practice
