General American is one of the most in-demand accents in casting — and one of the easiest to let slip under pressure.
You can know the lines inside out, but if the accent wobbles, casting hears it immediately. This all-day masterclass is designed to help you lock it in, properly.
In February 2026, acclaimed voice and dialect coach Anne Whitaker joins us in Wrexham, teaching live in the room with the session streamed for online observers.
Anne is a London-based coach with extensive experience across film, TV, theatre and actor training. Her credits include Back in Action! (Netflix), The Wheel of Time (Amazon) and We Were the Lucky Ones (Hulu). She’s known for helping actors sound natural, grounded and truthful — not “putting on an accent”.
Across the day, you’ll work on:
• The core sounds and rhythm of General American
• Prosody — the musicality and natural flow of speech
• Practical drills to maintain consistency in self-tapes and on camera
• Live coached practice with clear, usable feedback
Whether you’re in the room or observing online, you’ll come away with sharper listening skills, practical tools you can practise straight away, and a more confident American accent that holds up when it matters.
