- **Event Description**: Free 8 session workshop programme for parent carers of children with disabilities and additional needs (with and without a diagnosis).About this EventContact are offering a FREE 8-session programme for parents of children with disabilities or additional needs (with and without diagnosis). The 8 workshops are geared up to help parent carers recognise their individual strengths, build confidence, share knowledge, and experience whilst receiving support.This programme gives opportunities for parents to explore and share their own very unique experiences, whilst developing new skills, building friendships within a group and access to a number of resources to equip them on their journey through the world of disability and additional needs.It is the intention for parents to attend all 8 sessions, at the end of the programme a certificate will be awarded.YOU MUST LIVE IN WALES TO JOIN THIS PROGRAMMEContact Charity exists to help families feel valued supported, confident, and informed. We believe parent carers know their children best and want the best for their children. Contact supports families of children with all disabilities and additional needs from 0-25.Sessions are FREE and run on the dates below at Wellbeing Hub Wrexham. The sessions are relaxed, fun and informal covering the following subjects. Sophie is a Parent Advisor at Contact Cymru, and has experience of peer supporting parents of premature or sick children and multiples.
