About the event

Fall Gathering 2025: Roots & Renewal
🌿 Roots & Renewal

An Intimate Sage Valley Gathering

This autumn, Sage Valley invites you to join us for Roots & Renewal — a different, smaller, more intimate gathering focused on connection, conversation, and experiencing the rhythms of ecovillage life.

Unlike our larger seasonal gatherings, this weekend will be less structured, allowing space to settle into community flow. Together we’ll share meals, circle in conversation about intentional living, and participate in the simple daily rhythms that shape life at Sage Valley.

We’ll also offer guided tours of the land and our evolving systems — from gardens and animals to shared spaces and sustainable practices. Evenings will bring time around the fire, laughter, and deepening into what it means to live in harmony with each other and the earth.

Come with an open heart and curiosity. This is a chance to renew your roots — with the land, with community, and within yourself.

Open mic style music and firesides jams, open vending with no registration or fees, trade blankets, intentional community centered playshops and experiences.

Open Mic Request Form: COMING SOON!

ALL individuals 16+ will need to fill out a Registration Form in order to enter the event. There will be a device at the gate to fill it out upon arrival, a QR code to scan to fill it out on your own device, or you can fill it out now, prior to the event, to save some time once you arrive! Everyone will need to fill this out regardless if you are a volunteer, vendor, resident, workshop leader, stage artist, have attended events at Sage Valley before, or any other circumstance. This is NOT the same as any of the links above! We must have one completed for ALL event attendees for every event in addition to your ticket, volunteer, stage, vendor, and/or workshop form.

This gathering is hosted by Sage Valley, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All proceeds go towards creating the event and growing the projects and programs at Sage Valley! Donations of time, resources, or monetary energy beyond the suggested donation are strongly encouraged.

Suggested donation to camp at this event is on a sliding scale of $33-$111 per adult or family, PLUS an item to donate to Dharma Greens Vegan Kitchen, which provides free meals during the entire event. Day passes are available with a give-what-you-can donation. Children 15 years old and under require no admission donation. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian. We do accept alternatives to monetary donations and our list of accepted items can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lXlLmt3BiOfK6FckOlQ8j5zSouwGEaDCURkqN_Mzivs/edit?usp=sharing

This is a co-creative event and a culture of giving! We strongly encourage all participants to take on a volunteer shift to help contribute to the community! There will be a sign in sheet at the front gate for on the spot volunteers, but if you’d like to secure your shift and entrance ahead of time, please fill this out! FAQ
➸GATE HOURS
The gate officially opens at 12PM on Friday, September 19th. Early entry will ONLY be allowed for registered and pre-approved volunteers. The gate will be closed at 9PM each night to ensure safety. No entry into the event is allowed after 9PM. DRIVE SLOW when approaching the gate, the road is curvy at the gate entry and on a hill! The event will end on Monday, September 22nd after our 11:11 meeting! Please be ready to depart the grounds after. We’d love to have you stay and help us clean up afterwards (fill out the Volunteer form above for that!)

You are invited to stay after the event ends, but we ask that you fill out our visitor application here ahead of time: https://forms.gle/nRiPdUsRAKyN5z8TA. Visitors are asked to help around the grounds and/or contribute in some way for the duration of their stay. First time visitors are allowed a maximum stay of 2 weeks.

➸WHY MONETARY DONATION? WHY FOOD DONATION?
Admission and kitchen donations ensure we are all giving what we can. As a nonprofit, No profits are taken from donations. Donations go into creating the most magical Gatherings we can now and in the future. Hosting a gathering of this magnitude takes resources and funding. Our goal is to provide as much as we can in a sustainable way. Donations can be made online and at the gate.

Everyone entering the event grounds will need a donation or to be a volunteer. If you find the suggested minimum donation unaffordable, there are VOLUNTEER opportunities so that you can give back through service rather than monetarily.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Regardless of ANY reason, all ONLINE DONATIONS ARE FINAL, 100% NON-REFUNDABLE & NON-RETURNABLE. By donating you understand & agree to all the information provided on the donation/ticket website. Tickets are transferable & you are encouraged to gift your ticket if circumstances arise where you cannot make it.

➸CAMPING, RVs & BUSES
This is a PRIMITIVE camping event with NO HOOKUPS available. Sage Valley intends to remain off grid. There are several camping areas designed to meet everyone’s needs. There are spaces for car camping, RV/bus/van camping, tent camping, family camping & forest camping. Forest Camping does require all gear to be hiked in as it is not accessible by vehicles. If you need help with transporting gear, we have a UTV and would be happy to help, just let those at gate check-in know!

➸DRIVING/PARKING DURING EVENT
View our Driving/Parking Policy here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15QonFI5hLlNJzZVp933DeYyaUrGZs8gOzNg14hh2ePI/edit?usp=sharing. This will be strictly adhered to during the Gathering.

➸VENDORS
Come one and come all vendors! We encourage vending of your DIY and homemade crafts, art, services, foods, and more! This gathering will have no vending registration or fee.

Vending space is first come, first serve. Trade blanket space will be available as well.

➸SECURITY & SAFETY
This is primarily a self-regulated event where attendees are expected to speak out and stand up for what is right. Bring good vibes and always remember that LOVE is the answer. Appointed Peace Keepers will be available throughout the event to ensure everyone’s safety. We take care of each other and strive to create a SAFE SPACE for all! Please be sure to respect and listen to one another.

➸HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY
We do everything we can to make this event as accessible as possible to all. Parking is within walking distance from the main event area, however, the terrain is not the best for handicap accessibility. If you have any special needs to be considered, please reach out to the event organizers so that we may try our best to accommodate you. We do have a UTV to help with any special needs. Let those at gate check-in know!

➸LEAVE-NO-TRACE
This is a LEAVE-NO-TRACE event! It's simple: leave the place you camp the same or better than you found it. Pack it in and pack it out. This property is an actual ecovillage where people live. Please treat it the way you would want others to treat your own home. If you see others not honoring the LEAVE-NO-TRACE motto, take some time to explain to them why it's important & nicely ask them to pick up after themselves. All trash brought onto the land must be carried off of the land. Trash removal costs money & uses resources, energy, and time. Attendees found disrupting the natural beauty of the land will be removed from the grounds without refund, we are serious here folks! LOVE EARTH!

➸EARTH FRIENDLY
We are a Certified Nature Preserve. Only biodegradable and earth friendly soaps, cleaners, and chemicals should be used at Sage Valley. Let us all be kind to the delicate ecosystems around us. Harmful chemicals can leach into the water systems surrounding us and create a ripple effect with a big impact.

➸SMOKING / TOBACCO USE
Cigarette butts should be properly disposed of and never left on the ground. Smoking should be done in the designated smoking area in the parking lot, away from others and outside of any sacred, kitchen/food, or family spaces. To protect those allergic, asthmatic, or too young to decide, this is the ONLY place where cigarette smoking should happen.

➸SACRED FIRE
The main Sacred Fire should be honored, cared for, and enjoyed with respect. When coming into this area, please stay mindful. Offerings to the fire are encouraged and permitted items include tobacco or other organic materials. Please do not cook at this fire or burn trash in it - there is a fire in the dining area or in the forest that can accommodate these needs.

➸PETS
Pets are allowed under the premise that they are not aggressive. Non-residential pets or those who are new to Sage Valley must be leashed and cared for at all times. There are farm and resident animals on the property. DO NOT allow pets to disturb the animals who call Sage Valley home. Sage Valley is not responsible for the care and well-being of pets. You will be asked to sign a pet waiver at check-in.

➸FAMILY AND KIDS
This Gathering (and Sage Valley in general) is a very family and kid friendly space. There is a family camping section and Kid Village will have many activities for children. Volunteers protect this area and the children around it. Children age 15 and younger require no admission donation!
