A FREE GIG at Worthing's new home for grassroots live music!
The amazing team at BuNker 11 are so passionate about grassroots music so when we said we wanted to put a free gig on they said no problem.
So come on down and help us keep live music alive on Saturday 29th November from 8pm.
This will be a belter - experience all our new material (and some reworkings of old classics) at Worthing's new home of grassroots music.
Come closer...
If you haven't heard, deep in the basement of the Charles Dickens pub in Heene Road there is a movement starting... a movement to keep live music alive! The team are putting together a venue that the town is crying out for since the hedonistic days of Bar 42 - and any genre is welcome. Which is great for us because we're pretty difficult to classify!
It's been said in the past Junkyard Sons sound like "Clutch and RL Burnside with a buffet of sour mash for company, Junkyard Sons are a blazing 6 piece blues rock n roll band with a penchant for overdriven riffs to bite into the very soul and refuse to let go until you're dancing with hellfire itself".
But prepare yourself for lots of new tracks with a sprinkling of something else... did I hear you say Beastie Boys? or was it George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic? Doesn't matter they are both covered. A touch of INXS, Reef or some Stoner Rock, yep we've got all that and more - Black Sabbath? Jason Isbell? The Bonnevilles? Oh yes... there might even be something like Alabama Shakes if the mood takes us!
It's still true that "A night with Junkyard Sons makes you feel like giving up work just to drink sour mash shots from the navel of a exotic dancer from Tennessee while listening to tracks from the devil's own jukebox..."
But our all original blues rock gave birth to something new... and there isn't a name for it! So you'd better come along and find out for yourself!
