- **Event Name**: Cara Dillon - Upon a Winter's Night
- **Event Start and End Date**: Tue, 15 Dec, 2026 at 07:30 pm (+00:00)
- **Event Description**: Renowned Irish folk singer Cara Dillon returns with her Christmas show Upon A Winter’s Night — a moving celebration of the festive season that has become a cherished tradition for audiences across the UK and Ireland.

With her unmistakably pure and ethereal voice, often described as one of the finest to emerge from Ireland’s rich folk heritage, Cara leads audiences on an intimate journey through ancient carols, sacred songs and modern seasonal favourites. Joined by her exceptional band, she weaves together Celtic rhythms and reverent melodies, creating a concert experience that is both uplifting and deeply reflective.

Far removed from commercial Christmas hits, Upon A Winter’s Night offers something different — a space for stillness, wonder and beauty. Cara’s performance captures the mystery of the season, inviting audiences to rediscover the meaning and magic at its heart.

The original Upon A Winter’s Night album reached No.1 in the Indie Album Charts twice upon its release, and this year’s tour features beloved favourites alongside newly added songs. It is a celebration rooted in authenticity, honouring ancient traditions while speaking to modern audiences.

With a career spanning more than 30 years, Cara Dillon remains one of the most respected voices in contemporary folk music. She has received widespread critical acclaim, with Mojo describing her as having “quite possibly the world’s most beautiful female voice.” Her music has featured in the hit series Derry Girls, and her 2024 album Coming Home was shortlisted for Album of the Year at the NI Music Prize.

Praised as “simple and stunning” by The Sunday Times and described by the BBC as “an instant Christmas classic,” Upon A Winter’s Night has become, for many, an essential part of the festive season.

Step away from the noise and rediscover the quiet power, beauty and meaning of Christmas through song.
