Sussex Youth Theatre is delighted to welcome BBC presenter and writer Simon Davies to Worthing for a full day TV & Film Audition Masterclass.
Simon has been the face and creative force behind some of Britain’s most recognisable children’s television, including Tikkabilla, Play School, Playdays, Boogie Beebies and The Fimbles.
He now trains the next generation of presenters at Pinewood Studios — and he’s bringing that expertise directly to our students.
This is a rare opportunity to work with a genuine industry professional in a practical, hands-on environment.
What the day will include:
• Casting-style ‘intros’ to camera
• Creating a promo advert for your own TV series
• The Challenge Chair warm-up
• Celebrity Chat Show performance work
• Q&A about how to get into TV and Film
Students will gain:
• On-camera audition technique
• Understanding of how TV acting differs from theatre
• Insight into casting directors, agents and producers
• Confidence performing to camera
• Clear guidance on next steps into the industry
Suitable for ages 6–18.
Ideal for beginners as well as those serious about screen careers.
