How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Join WYO and have the opportunity to perform in this world class venue in June 2026! Be a part of our orchestral, jazz, band or chamber music program.
The Worcester Youth Orchestras (WYO) is central Massachusetts’ largest and premier youth orchestra program. It is comprised of five orchestras, a jazz program, wind ensemble and chamber music program. Auditions are being held for the 2025-2026 season which starts in September 2025. Admission is open to all students grades 12 and under who play a string, wind, brass, percussion or harp/keyboard.
In residence at Mechanics Hall, the organization presents multiple concerts at Mechanics as well as around Worcester County. Drawing from more than 60 communities and schools, the Worcester Youth Orchestras represents the finest talent from public, private and community schools. Students enjoy weekly rehearsals, coachings and masterful performances under the direction of talented conductors and teaching artists.

All auditions are held at the WYO Offices at Mechanics Hall.
