Wild About Winter Vacation Week

Do your snowflakes have six points or eight? And where did they come from in the first place? This winter vacation, celebrate the wonders of winter with us at the EcoTarium! Dive into the science of snow, curl up like a hibernating animal, or conduct a frigid experiment of your own. Don’t forget your mittens!
Daily Schedule:
There is always something new happening both on our grounds and inside the museum building. For maximum fun, experience one of our daily planetarium programs* or take a ride on the Explorer Express Train* (weather dependent).
11:00 am — Science Discovery: Animals in Winter
11:45 am — One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure (Planetarium full-dome movie)*
12:30 pm — Science Discovery: A Chill in the Air
1:15 pm — Astronomy Live! Satellites: A Space Oddity (Educator-led program in the planetarium)*
2:00 pm — Astronomy Live! Tour of the Solar System (Educator-led program in the planetarium)*
2:45 pm — Science Discovery: Snowflake Symmetry
3:30 pm — CAPCOM Go! The Apollo Story (Planetarium full-dome movie)*
4:15 pm — Afternoon Astronomy
