For fans of two of the longest running musicals in Broadway history, Sandhills Repertory Theater (SRT) presents “The Music of Les Misérables and Phantom of The Opera”. Hear Broadway favorite Marissa McGowan, Matt Leisy (who just completed an international tour of “Phantom” as Raoul ) along with Michael Pizzi and music director Brett Boles sing your favorites, including “I Dreamed a Dream”, “Phantom of the Opera”, “Music of the Night”, “Master of the House”, “The Prayer” and many more. This is a huge musical event not to be missed!

Marissa McGowan most recently appeared on Broadway in the Roundabout Theatre Company's Revival of Kiss Me Kate at Studio 54, where she performed the role of Lilli Vanessi/Kate, appeared on the Tony Awards and on the original cast recording. Marissa had the honor to be chosen by Mr Marvin Hamlisch to star as Stella Purdy in the world premier of Marvin's last musical THE NUTTY PROFESSOR (directed by the legendary Jerry Lewis). Marissa has also appeared on Broadway in the A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC Revival alongside Catherine Zeta Jones and Angela Lansbury (Original Cast Recording),BONNIE AND CLYDE (Original Cast Recording) and LES MISERABLES (Revival and National Tour) where she performed both the roles of Eponine and Cosette.

Brett Boles is a Tik Tok star and influencer with his insights into breaking down musical theater songs and providing insights into their musical compositions! He has been a pianist and singer for over 20 years, performing off-Broadway and accompanying major TV and Broadway stars. Brett mentors and assists young musical theater students through his M Tea Studio. He is an Ithaca College musical theater graduate.

Michael Pizzi created Sandhills Repertory Theatre (SRT) 9 years ago in NC, has performed off-Broadway and cabaret, and has developed, with Broadway performers, shows such as “The Andrew Lloyd Webber Songbook”, “An Evening with Oscar and Steve”, “ Judy Joni and Joan”, “Taylor/King”, and many others. He has been a performer most of his life and is also an occupational therapist, holding a PhD in community health and wellness.

Matt Leisy holds the distinction as the only performer in SRT history to receive a standing ovation for his rendition of ‘Music of the Night’ during the “Songbook of Andrew Lloyd Webber” show! He recently completed an 18-month international tour of Phantom as Raoul and Phantom understudy. Matt has performed all over the globe and performed his one man show throughout the country.

As with all MPZ Productions, we donate 10% of all net profits to local food banks. We believe entertainment is more than that; it is about being part of and building community.
