The UK's leading provider of Award-Winning Mindful Nature Art, Craft & Play experiences for children comes to The Firs to help us celebrate Summer.
Every Monday throughout the summer holidays starting on Monday 21 July, Shelley will be running an hour session in the beautiful outdoor setting of The Firs making the most of the intimate gardens and what it offers.
Nature Makers believe in a co-creation and facilitation approach with Guardians supporting children in the best way for their needs. Classes are aimed at children aged 6 months - 6 years enabling them to explore a range of activities with your support where needed, whilst you can also get involved and enjoy creating too!
There will be one session each Monday morning from 10.30am-11.30am.
We are offering 15 spaces per session, each session costs £10 per child with one accompanying adult.
Sessions include:
Monday 21 July ‘Birds and Birdsong – Listening for birds, making binoculars and clay bird nests.
Monday 28 July ‘Bees and Butterflies’ – Flapping and buzzing – symmetry in nature/ hapa-zome printing (leaf and petal bashing)
Monday 4 August ‘Sounds of the Seaside’ – Making swimming dolphins, tin-foil seaside scenes/ water-play with crashing waves.
Monday 18 August ‘My Musical Garden’ – Making shakers, stick wind-chimes, natural drums and forest bathing in sound.
Monday 25 August ‘Sounds of the Summer’ – With a focus on weather – rainmakers, windsocks – using cyanotype paper for printing
