Please Read All Information. A few changes have been made as the share has grown. Extra details will follow so be sure to check back in as the event approaches. BRING: 1. Bare root plants and/or seeds to share IF you have them, but bringing something is NOT REQUIRED! More seasoned gardeners are as happy to share their native plant bounty as newbies are to start filling in their garden spaces! In the past, a few gardeners brought snacks/treats to the share in lieu of plants. You are welcome to bring something, if you'd like. But again, it is not required that you bring anything. ***Native plants only - no invasives or exotics! Native to MD is preferred, though native to adjacent states is allowed, as are nativars. If in doubt, reference www.marylandplantatlas.org and/or https://fsus.ncbg.unc.edu/ to verify nativity. 2. Table to display your plants, should you have *a lot* to share, and blanket or chair for relaxing. The event will be in and around the carriage house, and so if you have a canopy, please bring it. This is a *RAIN OR SHINE* event. We can always use extra canopies for people to shelter under in case of inclement weather. 3. Please bring a Bucket or Container to carry your plants home. We cannot guarantee availability of containers to transport plants home. We encourage labeling it with your name in case it is set down. If you are bringing plants to share, we also encourage labeling your buckets or containers as "Leave Container". There is a small chance your container may get taken accidently, so keep that in mind. 4. Masking is optional and at your own discretion/comfort. New for this share- We are having Sharers who are bringing 5+ different species of native plants arrive early at 10 am, setup their own table and/or and get exclusive access before the start time of 11am. Their core focus is to promote environmentally sound landscaping practices and preserve biodiversity, and they support native-plant community restoration through education and connecting with other native plant enthusiasts.
