Billings Backyard: Root to Fruit Apple Growing with Henry Weiser

Tap into your inner Johnny Appleseed and dig into the art and science of growing apples! Led by Henry Wiser, owner of Hackleboro Orchards and a seasoned apple grower with 38 years of experience, the session covers everything from starting to maintaining a home orchard. Topics include site selection and preparation, choosing varieties and rootstock, proper planting techniques, and post-planting care. Participants will gain valuable insights through a guided tour of the Billings Farm orchard. This workshop will provide participants with the knowledge and confidence to plant, grow and care for apple trees. Each session is $20/person, $15/Billings Farm member.
